IFC – Imports From China runs a free, public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT look up Indian import duty by HS code and estimate the China to India landed cost of a shipment, using the same engine as our China to India shipping cost calculator.

How to connect
Claude
- Open Claude, go to Settings › Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector, name it “IFC India Import Duty” and paste

About the data
Duty rates are maintained by IFC from the Customs Tariff, CBIC notifications (including Budget 2025 and Budget 2026 changes), the GST rate schedule effective 22 September 2025 and DGFT import policy. Each answer shows when the rate was verified. Results are estimates; IFC confirms the final duty and charges before shipping.
