Prepare a room-by-room buying schedule
For a home, office, hotel or banquet project, list each item with its dimensions, material, finish, quantity and target delivery date. Share drawings or reference photographs where useful. A description such as premium sofa is not enough to compare supplier quotations accurately; record the agreed size, upholstery, colour and construction details.
What should be checked before dispatch?
- Match the goods to the approved specification or sample.
- Record item quantities, accessories and assembly parts.
- Discuss checks for finishes, visible damage and packing condition.
- Confirm carton labels and which items belong to each room or project.
- Agree protection for fragile, polished or irregularly shaped items.
What determines furniture shipping cost?
Packed volume, weight, carton count, supplier locations, the booked service and the final delivery address affect the quotation. Ask whether China collection, consolidation, inspection, repacking, freight, applicable clearance costs, duties, taxes and last-mile delivery are included. A supplier price or a showroom discount alone does not establish the saving after delivery.

Can furniture from several suppliers be combined?
Discuss consolidation before ordering. Share supplier readiness dates, item schedules and packing details so the team can plan warehouse receipt and the combined shipment. If one supplier is delayed, agree whether to wait or ship the ready goods separately.
Does doorstep delivery include unloading or assembly?
Confirm unloading, carrying goods upstairs, crane or lift access, assembly and removal of packing separately. Give your delivery pincode and site-access details when requesting a quotation.
