These terms apply to the IFC – Imports From China Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and the IFC app or plugin in AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by IFC – Imports From China Inc. (“IFC”), New Delhi, India. By using the Service you agree to these terms.

What the Service does

The Service looks up Indian import duty (BCD, AIDC, SWS, IGST, anti-dumping notes and compliance rules) by HS code, searches HS codes by product, gives the fixed exchange rates used in IFC’s calculator, and estimates the landed cost of shipments from China to India. It is free and does not require an account.

Estimates only – not legal or customs advice

All duty rates, classifications and landed-cost figures are estimates for planning. Tariffs, notifications, anti-dumping duties and exchange rates change, and the correct HS code depends on your exact product. Before you import, confirm the classification and rates on ICEGATE, with a licensed customs broker, or by asking IFC for a confirmed quote. IFC is not responsible for losses, penalties or delays caused by relying on an estimate.

Acceptable use

  • Use the Service only for lawful import planning.
  • Do not overload, scrape at scale, attack or try to bypass the Service’s rate limits (currently 60 requests per minute per address).
  • Do not send personal, confidential or payment information in tool inputs.

Availability and changes

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or stop the Service, its tools or these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, IFC’s total liability arising from the Service is limited to zero, as the Service is provided free of charge. Paid sourcing, shipping and clearance services are governed by IFC’s separate quotation and service terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in New Delhi have jurisdiction.
