What does “landed cost in India” mean?
Landed cost is the total cost of a product delivered to your door in India – supplier price in China plus China inland transport, international freight (sea or air), Indian customs duty (BCD, SWS, IGST), clearance and local delivery. Can I buy from 1688 in India?
Yes. 1688 sellers usually accept only Chinese payment and ship only inside China. IFC pays the 1688 supplier in RMB, receives the goods at its China warehouse and ships them to India door to door with duty paid.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) when importing from China?
MOQ depends on the supplier and is shown on every product – many products start from 1 or 2 pieces. Because IFC combines goods from many suppliers in one shipment, you can import small quantities.
Is the price shown the final price?
No. The supplier price and landed cost are estimates based on current data. The final price depends on quantity, the supplier’s latest rate, exchange rate and customs assessment. IFC confirms the final quote before you pay.
How long does shipping from China to India take?
Air shipments usually take about 7–12 days door to door and sea shipments about 25–40 days, depending on the city, product and customs clearance.
Do I need an IEC code to import from China?
Under IFC’s DDP door-to-door service, IFC handles the import and customs clearance, so you can get goods delivered without managing customs yourself. If you want to import in your own name, you need an IEC and GST registration.
